Ascend is led by co-founders In Seon Hwang, former global head of Healthcare at Warburg Pincus and member of the Executive Management Group, and Dr. Richard Park, founder and former CEO of CityMD, a leading patient-centric healthcare services company in New York and New Jersey. 

Ascend Partners closed its inaugural fund, Ascend Capital Partners Fund I, with $570 million in capital commitments. Ascend Fund I’s Limited Partners include public and private pension funds, foundations, financial institutions, and family offices who share our mission. To date, Ascend has made eight proprietary platform investments out of Fund I and has completed 2 deals for Fund II. Our team has grown to include twenty full-time professionals, including twelve investment professionals.
